Oh hello there!
I've always had a love of learning, so much so that in college I majored in both Theatre Arts and Conservation Biology. I realized then that I didn't want to be pigeon holed into one role but wasn't sure how to bring it altogether...

Until I discovered UX in 2013 at Amplify, an edtech company. I immediately fell in love with the discipline that married my love of people, curiosity, and art.
Since then I've gone from a research coordinator to Senior UX Researcher at Purpose UX. I've been fortunate to work on projects that range from electronic medical records in healthcare to math curriculums in edtech to strategy in sustainability.

After leaving Amplify in 2015, I pursued my masters in Art + Design at North Carolina State University. Using a mixture of sound and photography, my thesis, titled Othering, focused on how to design stories that unite people from diverse communities.
My motto for design (and life) is People Matter Most. This mantra keeps me curious about other perspectives and eager to find creative ways to improve people's lives - whether that be an easier to use medical record, find safer alternatives for toxic chemicals, or develop design systems that make it easier for developers to do their jobs. My goal is to create good, usable products that make the world a better place.
